2650 - Liason with School Boards Associations
The Avery County Board of Education instructs the superintendent to keep it fully informed of the affairs of the State School Boards Association and to keep this organization informed as directed regarding the board's concerns and official positions on matters of common concern. The superintendent will include in the budget each year the cost of membership to the State School Boards Association.
All board members are encouraged to attend meetings, conferences and seminars of this organization in order to familiarize themselves with the latest developments in school affairs.
The board also will attempt to be officially represented in association affairs through the election of delegates and/or observers to the governing assemblies of those organizations.
